Frequenty Asked Questions

Let our experts in pest control help you!

If you don't find an answer to your question please feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

Is the treatment safe for my family?
We use only EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) approved products. We make sure we are using the most effective & safest products to target the unwanted pests in & around your home. We try to get products that are as natural as can be for being man-made. Typically the products that we use could contain; natural & synthetic pyrethrums, growth inhibitors, borate, or bait depending on what is the most suitable for your situation. We have strict company guidelines, above what the label calls for, regarding vacate time from your home while your treatment is being done. If you have bad allergies, are in the late stages of pregnancy, on oxygen, or children under 1 year of age, these are some scenarios that require special precautions.

Will it hurt my pets?
Cats and dogs usually have the same safety recommendations that pertain to humans. One of our frequently used products states “keep people & pets off surfaces until dry”. However, we have company policies to follow if you have, fish, reptiles or birds that could be exposed to the products, these pets require special precautions.

I need to be home to meet the technician?
If your service is for an exterior spray, then NO, you don’t need to be home or meet anyone. However if you have locked gates we will need to make arrangements for access. If the target pest needs interior service, then we will need to schedule to meet you, a neighbor, or relative. Sometimes people will leave keys or drop them by our office.

What if it’s raining?
We typically use products that are labeled for the outdoors, some of which are micro-encapsulated to suspend in water. Also depending how your home is built, it typically has an overhang from the roof protecting an area of about 2-3 feet out & around your siding & foundation. If it’s raining hard or even snowing, we will postpone your service to a day where the weather is better.

Does my service continue year round, even through the winter?
It depends what your service program is set up for. Rodents will continue year round, if you have monthly maintenance. Late fall & winter are the perfect seasons to do bat exclusions, crawl space & attic clean ups. Fall is a great time to spray for spiders as they are trying to get into your home to survive winter. Wintertime can also be used to perform “exclusion services” at any observed entrance or exit points in your attic & crawl spaces which could allow birds, bats, rodents or other wildlife to enter; also to remove vacant birds’ nests from your attic.
